W S POLITICS AND WHERE JOE AND I DIFFER

POLITICIANS VERSUS BUSINESS PEOPLE

And why I am a Trumpette besides a Griffette

Business Persons are totally different than Political Persons.  I really could tell the difference after moving to White Springs but also experienced some of the same when working with Condo Associations in Miami. . I have watched my candidate Donald Trump manage through the ‘Lyin Ted Cruz” situation with everyone, including the establishment politicians,  trying to tear Trump down.   Yet Donald Trump is honest and will do what he states he will whether it entails a cabinet of great people to assist the economy or the nation’s security or making the deal between the house and senate.  That is what Business people do to accomplish the goals…this time the goals of the people to make America Great again will be first if we do not put another lying politician in the White House.

In business one has specific goals they must achieve.  The team (Management) brainstorms on how to attain those goals and the strategies are set on balanced budgets with great profitability.   A Company’s management team answers to its board of directors and make certain that all investors are happy with the results.  If something goes wrong, and it can, and sometimes an idea turned sour because of some external situation, the team admits the error and works together to resolve it, to again retain the profit margin.  When there is a falsehood or a point the team does not understand, a businessman or woman will not stand down but fight to the end until their position is understood.  Business people dislike liars and because so many politicians cannot tell the truth, it is why you have activists (former business people) like Joe and I.  That is why we are treated much like Donald Trump.

WHERE JOE AND MY FEELINGS DIFFER

People for the whole do not like hearing the truth and most people are used to those that lie to them continually that they cannot believe that someone actually has their back without having some personal agenda.  That is the Trump group and we the Griffins are in that same league.  We wish to make White Springs great again and unfortunately that is where Joe and I differ.  Joe feels there is no hope because of the continual lies and the lack of concern for following the law and fulfilling the citizen’s wishes; and I, Karin, always see things as hopeful. Unfortunately the optimist, I see things through rose colored glasses until someone threatens me or my loved one like Helen Miller.

MAYOR RHETT BULLARD

VS HELEN MILLER

I see in Mayor Rhett Bullard, not only the honest businessman lawyer, but also a man who not only listens but hears the people.

As I have said before, no man is an island.  Mayor Bullard may not do anything alone but needs a great team to work together for the common good of White Springs.  I am thankful for Tanja and Willie sticking by his side. That has not always been the case and it was my fear that Miller again would be tearing down White Springs as she has for years while continually lying to the people. She has not even been truthful about her background or her education and it is evident from four different resumes.

From the facts at hand, Miller has not accomplished anything which is lasting; She seems to try a lot (and that may be just show to get into the media) and spends the citizens money and grants as if she is on a personal mission but is there improvement?  No, there is just more evil and lies.  Unlike most people who will tell you what they think to your face, Miller is good at knifing people in the back and damaging reputations if she does not get her way. Yet unfortunately in looking at her writings and her lack of getting things done, it appears she is not very well educated or she is lacking in something which I cannot put a finger on but possibly it is scruples. But she does know how to use the power of her position by coercing law enforcement and state and federal officials to do her bidding by pure lies, She will step on innocent citizens or other officials and those who stand against her without apology or emotion.

.

Politicians can say anything they wish without repercussions. They feel they were elected and they do not have to answer to anyone, not even the citizens; unless the citizens finally revolt.  They make promises they know they will never be able to keep.  It is also known Politicians even though they are to answer to the citizens will not be personally responsible because they can blame their team or other council persons and be covered by insurance if there is a suit against them.  They can never personally hurt financially because the worse that can happen other than a criminal charge is to not be re-elected.

Whereas, Business persons make only the promises they will be able to make because they will be responsible to their board jointly and severally.  And if money is lost, the Businessperson will be responsible for the decisions made and can be fired immediately.  Dependent upon the contractual arrangements, the business person may be personally responsible for monetary loss for taking undue chances;  conversely the politician  takes no personal financial risks of any kind because he or she can tax or charge higher sewer and water rates for their mistakes.

In a business environment one must be frugal with other people’s money to assure profitability; In politics, the politicians are not concerned about other people’s money because they feel they have this never ending money pit that they can take from and if it fails so be it like the North Florida Broadband Association.  POTUS didn’t care; so why should the board of directors?  There were no repercussions.

IN THE CASE OF WALTER MCKENZIE

Personally, I think it is great that an older person like Walter McKenzie, who does not appear to have had great positions when younger, has been chosen to be Vice Mayor and to be a volunteer for the CSO and the Folk Festival.  Everyone should have something in which they have pride in.   And although many of his articles are boring and biased, not including the real White Springs news because he does not associate with all of White Springs to know the people, I give him credit for making an attempt.  His best article was on the loss of his friend.  It showed Walter had real emotion and has the ability to improve his writing, if for just one article.

Walter McKenzie’s acclaim to being a “politician” is telling people what they want to hear and he goes on and on.  But unlike Mayor Bullard who listens an actually hears the problem, Walter McKenzie is so impressed with himself that someone has actually listened to him that he now feels he is right about everything. The only person he will stick up for even if she is very wrong, is council woman Helen Miller and that is because she gave him the prominence he required initially

.

The fact that Walter McKenzie lies and believes lies about people he does not like, mainly Joe Griffin and myself shows he is a relentless politician because he is so afraid to lose what he has attained in White Springs..  Yes, when Joe moved here he did not realize he was bi-Polar, which technically is no different than others in this town who are known alcoholics.  The difference is Joe has handled his illness but he is still picked on for sticking up for the rights of all in White Springs.  Yet, there will be no break for him because the town officials have brought out lies in conjunction with his requests for public records back some sixteen years ago. And you believe the inefficient people who cannot do their jobs like  Heath and Tomlinson who say Joe is a bad man when all they have ever done is lie to keep their posts.  Surely there are more than Joe and I who have seen through these malicious lies.

Walter McKenzie still brags to others in the town about how he took a punch at Joe; saying how he fought a bully.   Joe is no bully nor has he ever been.  Joe stands for fairness, equality and the law and what this Town has done to him through these years is unforgivable.  And Walter, don’t think for a minute that a man who was in the military some twenty plus years could not have taken you down to the ground when you punched him.  But unlike the lies of you and your ilk, Joe Griffin is no PHYSICAL attacker and is one of the most honest forthright brilliant men I have ever known.  iF PROVOKED, MOST PEOPLE WILL VERBALLY ATTACK BUT WHAT YOU HAVE SAID ABOUT HIM AS WELL AS MILLER, TOMLINSON AND HEATH IS A LIE.

So if I had a wish for you Mr. McKenzie it would be to stop lying and believing people like Helen Miller who do not have everyone’s interest at heart; start not only listening to people but hearing what they have to say; realize the mistakes you have assisted the town in making like an Amphitheater which would have been better in the Carver School area, and the concrete park, will no longer be made and that you will help all of the citizens not just those perceived to be your friends.  Please think before you speak!

Please also help the citizens that cannot afford the high sewer and water rates.  Joe gave you some excellent budgets whereby you could save money on the sewer and water rates or have them for only a year or two until you received the seed money required for the $3. Million loan.   One thing you could stop right now is the high cost of water shut off and on.  That $30.00 per month is ridiculous.   Most Towns charge 1 or 2% of the balance in interest.  Even if you read the credit card and loan conditions there is a charge for being late but they do not cancel the loan or the credit card and it becomes part of your balance.  DON’T SHUT OFF THE WATER AND WORK WITH THE CITIZENS. This has to stop because if the people in your town do not have water and that is unhealthy.  A great man would do something and Mayor Bullard cannot do it alone.   You work out an arrangement for health clinics but allow people in your own Town to deteriorate because of health reasons when the solution could be so simple. Lower the cost of the cut off and start up fees for water.

Karin for the blog

P.S.  MR. MCKENZIE, REMEMBER IT WAS YOU AND HELEN MILLER THAT WISHED FOR ME TO GO TO PRISON ALONG WITH JOE.  AND FOR WHAT REASON?   THE OFFICIALS LIES? WE HAVE NEVER DONE SOMETHING SO DAMAGING TO YOU SO I CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW YOU CAN BE SO HORRID TO US OR ANYONE ELSE for SPEAKING THE TRUTH ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE TOWN.

I PROPOSE A TRUCE, OF SORTS….

If that goes okay then maybe we can agree on other things.
Here’s how it will work. The Town Council decides on a very limited thing that want me to agree to. Such a thing might be not asking for copies of my requests for Helen’s e-mails. It could be something else but it must be small in scope, nothing big like the town rejected in the mediation for the Federal Civil Rights suit.
Once we, Karin and I, cease doing what the Council wants then we get to say something, something small, that we want the town to agree on and do. Once the town agrees to do the thing we want and actually does it maybe we can continue the process for other more substantial things.
It is about time the Council gets involved in what Willie once called “the Griffin problem.”
You have until one week following the May Council meeting to agree to these conditions and to set forth your limited goal.
I hope this meets with your approval.

MY WIFE AND I DISAGREE…

While Rhett held on to the Mayor’s post he didn’t do anybody any favors. Three weeks and a year ago Willie said that after the election (Rhett and Tonja) that things would get better. Well Rhett became Mayor but nothing changed. The only positive news about of Rhett’s continued Mayorship is that Ken Daniels will still be the Town Auditor for a year. He is bound to find out where all of the money went, as if we don’t already know. Rhett needs to “man-up” and quit using the Mayor’s post as a aggrandizement tool and start helping the people, especially with lower sewer bills. Will anything change this time? It is doubtful as the status quo, look at the elections, reigns supreme in White Springs. I say the only hope for White Springs is the Federal Civil Rights suit being overturned and the town to quit treating Karin and I like the Red Headed step children of the town.

Arthur said during the election that if we, the Griffin’s, just tried to get along things would be better. But we volunteered to serve on three committees and were voted down. To get along with White Springs town government means we don’t get our Civil Rights, which we won’t do. Get along? Another Court Case will show my answer to getting along.

POST FROM A FRIEND OF MINE…

Joe: Maybe you can tell me why the Black Community stayed away from the polls today and let a successful Black business man go wanting for votes.
Friend: I really can’t say but I will say that if they was giving something away they would be there
Joe: I got it. The right to vote isn’t enough.
Friend: That’s right
JOE’S COMMENT:
ENOUGH SAID. THE VOTER RIGHTS ACT THAT DR. KING FOUGHT SO HARD FOR MEANS LITTLE IN WHITE SPRINGS.

OPEN LETTER TO STACY TEBO WITH “DAISY CHAIN” OF 119 REQUESTS.

IT HAS OCCURRED TO ME …
That you have never read the Government in the Sunshine Manual. It is true that Pam has never read the Government in the Sunshine Manual, if she can even read. Here we are at the end of another “Daisy Chain” of 119 requests for the same information and you and Pam, clerks both of you, are still looking for any reason to not turn over documents. The law says that you are not liable for the inadvertent release of exempt material and that all errors should be in favor of full disclosure. Do you really want the Town Council to review your “clerk” performance to date? I don’t think so. You are not behaving like a town manager and the simple reason is you have no staff, which is your fault.

Joe,

I cannot provide copy of pages from voter book due to addresses for those needing redacted and most important, their signature. I can provide you list of names written by the tabulator of those who voted in the election.

Wednesday morning I would like a copy of the sheets of paper you use to determine if a voter is from White Springs and whether they voted a ballot with their signatures. There are approximately 20 sheets of paper, to the best of my memory broke out between Democrat, Republican and Independent. The first lady inside the door works with this list.

Joe Griffin

Then, give me a state statute that says why I can’t have a copy of the form. I know you don’t like to follow the law but it is the law. You are such a waste of money.

Fine lady, and I use the term loosely, redact out what I can’t see and give me the rest. Wednesday for sure. You still haven’t provided me a State Statute which is what the law requires.

See, Toto< that wasn’t so hard, was it. You could have cut down on 3 e-mails from me and three e-mails from you if you just had given that information at the first. But NO you would rather quote something out of comic book or some such thing that you read. Why don’t you just retire?

Still waiting.

Still waiting for the unredacted information. When can I expect you two to do your jobs?

a. May an agency charge for the cost to review records for exempt information?

an agency is not ordinarily authorized to charge for the cost to review records for statutorily exempt material. ago 84-81. however, the special service charge may be imposed for this work if the volume of records and the number of potential exemptions make review and redaction of the records a time-consuming task. See Florida Institutional Legal Services v. Florida Department of Corrections, 579 so. 2d at 269. And see Herskovitz v. Leon County, no. 98-22 (Fla. 2d Cir. Ct. June 9, 1998), noting that “it would not be unreasonable in these types of cases [involving many documents and several different exemptions] to charge a reasonable special fee for the supervisory personnel necessary to properly review the materials for possible application of exemptions.”

enough said. Documents now you lazy incompetent team of administrative assistants. The problem at town hall is that Stacy isn’t providing any leadership and is nothing more than a glorified town clerk. The problem with Pam are too numerous to mention. I get tired of you guys incompetence.

CIVIL RIGHTS FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE CONSIDERED A “BAD MAN”.

U. S. ex rel. Mishkin v. Thomas, 282 F. Supp. 729, 741 (S.D. N.Y. 1968) (“Nevertheless, if the First and Fourth Amendments are to be preserved intact, there is no room in them to except cases in which their protections appear by hindsight to have been ‘undeserved’ or ‘unnecessary.’ The protections are for all of us, bad men no less than good.”).

EACH OF US GET OUR RIGHTS, NO MATTER HOW “BAD” THE TOWN THINKS I AM.

MLK, Jr. WOULD ROLL OVER IN HIS GRAVE….

Imagine a SILENT Black Majority who care so little about their sewer bills that they can’t even go to the polls to support a Black successful business man over two racists. It makes no sense to me. I”m sure it wouldn’t have made any sense to Dr. King either. I guess the Voter Rights Act was wasted on our White Springs community.
